Tradisi Merasa Nasi Baru


Well, not too old story for sharing. Last Sunday after Sunday Mass we have this kind of tradition of gathering among families, neighbors and villagers eat new rice produced from first harvested. After harvesting season, Gawai Festival is approaching. Time flies fast.

The Nasi Baru after cooked and dibungkus dalam daun buan.


The outcome from the leave.The aroma of the rice so heaven! I could tell you cannot resist to add another plates of rice and serve with bamboo chicken.Life so good.





After so long, how could i forgot the name of this fruit.I think this Iban black olive.. Bidayuh call this ' buah kop'.
After boiled, they marinate in tempoyak according to aunty. Taste like kuaci but a bit sour.
