PENGAWA BUMAI/PADDY PLANTING

Ari 6 kemari, aku bisi enggau kami sebilik 'NUGAL' .Nugal tu siti ari pengawa bumai bukit orang Iban tauka Bidayuh.Sebedau nugal,ketuai umai deka besampi dulu.Kami enggau orang beduruk bumai.Beduruk tu ianya baka gotong royong, ngambika chunto saritu nanam padi kami pagila nanam padi orang bukai.Pengawa beduruk tu ari kelia, ti ngasuh pengawa bumai jampat agi tembu. Kami ngambi masa 3 jam aja nembu ke pengawa nugal tu. Laban sida ke aya tu jampat nugal nyadi sida ibu pan jampat ga menih.

Last Saturday morning,I was joining my family to plant a paddy at the field.The field at the tophill near the jungle.In Iban, the method to plant the paddy is 'NUGAL'. Before start up,the leader will lead the morning pray and wish for good luck and good spirit to bless the paddy field.Normally in Iban community, the men use 'TUGAL' as one of the tool to make as many hole by covering all the field area to plant the paddy, while the women are responsible to put a plenty seeds of paddy in the holes.

The paddy planters work as one team or corporate with the others family in making 'NUGAL' is more faster in an appropriate time. Normally 'Nugal' will be finished within 3 hours depend on field's size.So, the next day will be 'Nugal' for other family and will be continue to another families,until the process is completed.
After 'NUGAL' is finished the Iban paddy planter just waiting for the seed to grow before it will be harvested and become paddy rice.

Agi Idup Agi Bedaki..ba penemu aku ianya; seagi-agi kitai idup di dunya seagi-aginya meh kitai kereja.Enda milih dini alai endur kereja, kereja perintah ke,kereja kompeni ke ke tauka kereja kediri empu. Saritu, ari Satu bisi sekeda nyebut'I hate Monday'. Malas asai ke nurun kereja, datai ngagai endur kereja meda mua orang ti enggai dipeda. Dianu 'unreasonable' boz,madahnya salah tu salah,nadai endur engkah tangnya meh garam pengidup.....
